  • Pre-Requisites

    A foundational understanding of the legal system, including knowledge of court structures, basic legal terminology, and an overview of common law procedures. Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of a paralegal within a legal setting.

  • Technical Requirements

    A computer or laptop with internet access to research legal databases, access digital course materials, and participate in virtual classes or discussions.

  • Software Requirements

    A web browser updated to the latest version, such as Chrome or Firefox, for accessing legal databases and online resources. Office software to create and edit legal documents and correspondence.

Instructor(s)

Michael Pantazakos

Michael Pantazakos is Adjunct Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, teaching Legal Writing and Lawyering Skills, Advanced Workshop in Legal Writing, Remedies of the Law, and Law & Literature.

He has been teaching at Cardozo Law School since 1996. He has been the Director and Administrator of the Cardozo Summer Bar Exam Writing Program since 2021.

He has also been a Lecturer-in-Law at New York University and has presented for many decades at legal conferences, including at the University of California, Berkeley; Columbia University; the University of Helsinki; the University of Kent; and the University of London.

He has also worked for Judge David B. Saxe, Jay Goldberg, Esq., Richard Rehbock, Esq., LaRossa, Mitchell & Ross, and worked of counsel for Warner Partners, P.C. He was Senior Editor of the legal journal, Cardozo Studies in Law & Literature, and he served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Law & Humanities Institute.

He earned his B.A. from New York University, J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and M.A. from Columbia University.
